MONEY & PLANNING

Community College Costs

Compare published international costs for the same academic year. Keep tuition and fees separate from living costs, and plan the university stage before committing.

Build a budget you can trust.

01

Record the cost source and academic year

Find the published international student rate rather than a resident rate. Record the academic year, required credits and whether fees are included. Use a current college source for every number.

02

Add housing, meals, insurance and transport

Make the comparison on equal terms: the same course load, tuition period and currency. Add recurring charges and one-time application costs separately. The lowest headline tuition does not always produce the lowest overall budget.

03

Allow for extra terms and changing costs

Compare both stages of a 2+2 route. Housing and tuition may change after transfer, and an extra term can affect the total. Keep an emergency allowance separate and avoid relying on unconfirmed employment income.

Information you can check.

This is a general planning guide. Institutional fees, accepted tests, transfer agreements and deadlines must be checked directly. No unverified college ranking is presented.
