A smarter start. A bigger future. Your journey to the USA
THE 2+2 PATHWAY

Your degree.
Two chapters.

Start at a community college. Transfer eligible credits. Complete your bachelor’s degree at a university.

A typical route, not a guaranteed four-year timeline. Placement, course load, major and credit recognition can change the duration.

2
YEARS 1–2

Build your foundation.

Choose a transfer-focused associate degree and map your courses against the requirements of your intended university and major. Ask an academic adviser which credits will count.

  • Review general education and major prerequisites.
  • Confirm minimum grades and course equivalencies.
  • Understand the difference between transfer and career-focused degrees.
2
YEARS 3–4

Take your next step.

Apply to the university and request an official credit evaluation. The receiving institution decides which eligible credits apply to your degree and whether you meet its entry requirements.

  • Check application deadlines early.
  • Read the conditions of any transfer agreement.
  • Budget for the remaining university years.
Plan the pathway, don’t assume it.

A university logo or an associate degree alone is not a transfer guarantee. Always ask for current written requirements.
